Geoff Becker - Founder and Management/Technical Team
As a dual Mechanical Engineering and Brain/Cognitive Science graduate, Geoff has a passion for invention, design, and understanding consumer needs. He was highly involved in implementing effective design for the Vaccine Pac to meet World Health Organization and customer requirements by working closely with NGOs and aid organizations. Currently, Geoff is strengthening his business and finance skills as a Trader at the Susquehanna International Group and will actively lead OneWorldMD business and customer relationship development. Geoff earned a dual Mechanical Engineering and Brain/Cognitive Science B.S. at MIT (2005).
Serena Cheng - Founder and Business Lead, MIT Sloan School of Management
Serena is a second-year MIT Sloan business student, with a diverse background in engineering, marketing, and interactive media/product design. She has extensive industry experience, both as an Engineering and Product Marketer at KLA-Tencor, a leading semiconductor manufacturing firm, and most recently as a Product Marketing Manager at Apple. Serena also has strong interest in design and media, working on various education and online community development projects and helping successfully launch a MIT Media Lab educational toy spin-off company. As the OneWorldMD Business Lead, Serena will be guiding the business development/plan, securing investors and funding, and attracting talent to the company. Serena earned a Chemical Engineering B.S. at the University of Wisconsin ¡V Madison (1997) and a Graphic and Interactive Media Design degree at the University of California ¡V Berkeley (2004).
Ethan Crumlin - Founder and Technical Lead, MIT Mechanical Engineering Department
Ethan is a MIT Mechanical Engineering Masters student with a well-rounded skill set of engineering expertise, business savvy, and project management experience. He has an exceptional industry background ranging from work as a Process Engineer at Intel and most recently as a Product Design Engineer at Apple, where he managed product design and production issues. As the Vaccine Pac project manager, Ethan was instrumental in leading a team of eighteen engineers through challenging technical and design issues to build a fully functioning prototype. He will continue to be the OneWorldMD Technical Lead for the Vaccine Pac and related medical devices by managing continued product development, design, and manufacturing. Ethan earned a Mechanical Engineering B.S. at MIT (2005) and is continuing on his Master studies.
Emily Smith - Founder and Management/Technical Team
Emily has extensive hands-on and industry experience in manufacturing supply chains and product design. She managed supply and output in the Product Development Team at Vistreon and is working on vehicle compliance to federal regulations as a Product Development Engineer at the Ford Motor Company. Emily was instrumental in the design of the Vaccine Pac core technology as one of the inventors on the patent. In addition, she worked with suppliers to obtain Vaccine Pac prototype parts and will continue to manage OneWorldMD supplier relations and manufacturing ramp-up. Emily earned a Mechanical Engineering B.S. at MIT (2005).
Amy Wong - Founder and Management/Technical Team
Amy is a Mechanical Engineering graduate continuing on with her Master's studies at Stanford University this fall with a concentration in instrument design. She has worked on a wide range of engineering projects from lean manufacturing to microvalves and has worked at Smart Design, a premiere product design company in New York, as well as overseas in companies in Japan and Hong Kong. Amy was highly involved in developing and implementing the Vaccine Pac on-board temperature controller. She will be key in OneWorldMD product and industrial design development as well as lead public relations and print/web materials. Amy earned a Mechanical Engineering B.S. at MIT (2005). |
